A silent disco is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to their own tune!

At this FREE Silent Disco event, there will be 3 distinct music stations to choose from. Participants must have an ID present in order to check out headphones.

Mill Valley is hosting its THIRD annual Dog Costume Contest this Halloween season... and you are invited to participate!

Dog owner? Dress up your pooch in your most creative and outrageous costume. The first 100 dogs to show up will be eligible to enter. Once you've registered, you will walk your dog around (on leash) the Mill Valley Lumber Yard grounds while the crowd takes in your doggie's style and uses a special voting link. The top 10 best dressed dogs will be selected to participate in the final voting selection and will receive awards, including a grand prize winner. Eligible award categories include: Best DIY Costume, Best Owner + Pup Combo Costume, Funniest Costume, Most Clever Costume... and more.

Non-dog owner? We need you, too! Come take in the spectacle of adorable pups in costumes, vote on your favorites, and see who becomes the #1 best costumed dog in Mill Valley. At the very least, it will make for great social media fodder.
